As a website designer of 3+ years, I am continually evolving and perfecting my client experience and consistently have positive feedback on how easy it is to work together and how supported my clients feel.
That’s why I wanted to share a behind the scenes look at my web design services and what you can expect when working with me. Or even if you decide not to work with me, you at least know the standard of what you can expect when investing in a website designer.
Easy onboarding
The first step to any good client-service provider relationship is smooth onboarding. Aka getting things rocking and rolling.
My onboarding process consists of these four easy steps:
Signing your contract
Paying your initial Invoice
Reading through your welcome packet - a PDF which explains everything you need to know, from FAQs, through to payments and next steps.
Book your strategy call - this post goes into more detail about what a strategy session actually is.
Confidence-boosting client hub
One of my favourite parts of all my web design projects is your personalised client hub. I have created a notion dashboard specifically for each client, which is the home of all the work we do together.
This is where you will fill out your website project planner, your website copy prompts and upload your website photos / logos.
My clients tell me they love it too because it reassures them that I have thought of everything. That everything is all taken care of and they know exactly what part of the process we are in.

Consistent and reliable communication
I know that when you invest a lot of money into something, the last thing you want is stretches of silence or worse - ghosting! That is why regular and reliable communication is super important to me.
You can expect to hear from me regularly throughout the project, updating you on progress and ensuring you’re 100% confident in next steps.
I am always available for questions via email and aim to get back to you as quickly so you’re never left in the dark.

Valued feedback and beautiful designs
Planning
Part of creating a website you love, is understanding what you like. That’s why I specifically ask you to provide examples of websites you like and dislike, and walk me through what about them you are drawn to.
Homepage design
I will then bring together your likes/dislikes, your branding, my design knowledge and our website strategy to design an initial homepage. My many years experience means I am pretty good at getting it right based on our strategy call, but I am also always open to feedback.
When showing it to you for the first time, I will create a short video showcasing why I designed things the way I did - because a pretty site does not land clients, a strategic and well-thought out one does.
This gives you the opportunity to confirm you like the direction in which the site is headed and we can switch directions if you’re not 100%. We will work to get this right before progressing to the rest of the site design.
Revisions
Based on the homepage design, I will then build out the rest of the site and invite you to provide your feedback on the remaining pages. As part of your website package, you will have either two or three rounds of revisions where you have the opportunity to share all your thoughts and feedback so we can get the design just right.

Post-project support & an easy to use website
When the website is actually live, you’ve got yourself a techy-bestie for life & you won’t be left on your own with something you don’t know how to use! I will provide you with resources and a personalised training video, explaining how you can manage your site moving forward. Part of the beauty of Squarespace is it is very easy to use, and once the website has been set up, you can easily edit and duplicate designs.
You will also have a post-project support period where I am on hand to answer any questions as you get used to your new website. But don’t worry, even after the post-project support period is over, I will still be your go-to-gal when it comes to all things design/websites/tech.
As a VIP client, you’ll have the option for ongoing design support and website management. You can choose to work with me on an ongoing basis and have me in your corner every month to support with website, blogging and design work. You can find out more about my ongoing design packages here.
